She was an ordinary college going girl with high aspirations...with principles that almost everyone would agree with and follow it too.
If you didn't finish your plate she would say 'do you know there are so many people in this world who don't get to eat....and you waste this little bit?'
She wouldn't buy a leather wallet or leather shoes...not because she couldn't afford it but it was made of animal skin.
She avoided the use plastic bags except when it was really needed, cuz she knew plastic was non bio-degradable and we could reuse, recycle it.
But today she is all grown, associated with big companies, famous among her peers, and her principles seem to be disappearing...
She throws away the left over food....cuz there is no one to finish it off and it will get spoiled.
She went shopping for her family members and bought branded leather bags. She owns more than one too.
Plastic bags...now, it is always needed.

In my last job interview, the interviewer tried to prove that there is a discrepancy between my career planning and aspirations.
After i realised, i couldnt argue, i smiled and said,
"Maybe i am too idealistic!"
He waited,
i said, "maybe il change, i grow"
Similarly, ur character has "grown"...
haan pata hai tht my character has 'grown' but what r u saying tht it doesn't matter anymore what you've said a few yrs ago cuz you have a career n all...!? explain your point.
Well, that is the sad thing about life, isn't it?...the fact that we all grow older and seemingly more mature, but in reality,we start to compromise on our beliefs because its easy and turn into the same people we once used to detest.
Great thought!
Dhrubo Jyoti,
